Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Risk Assessment (QCF)

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require employers to assess any hazardous manual handling tasks that cannot be avoided

and reduce the risk of injury, as far as practically possible.

Our Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Risk Assessment course is delivered over one day and provides supervisors and employees with the knowledge and understanding of the manual handling risk assessment process and the skills required to undertake a suitable and sufficient risk assessment. On completion of the course, delegates will: Understand the importance of manual handling risk assessments Understand the principles of controlling the risks from manual handling Understand how a manual handling risk assessment is undertaken The Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Risk Assessment is a stand-alone qualification. It however allows for lateral progression to other British Safety Council Level 2 qualifications covering risk assessments in COSHH, DSE and Fire, as well as vertical progression to the Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health. Learning with the British Safety Council will enable delegates to benefit from our extensive experience in health, safety and environmental management, acquired over the last 60 years. During this time, we’ve educated people from all over the world and have developed expert tuition methods, using the most modern teaching techniques. Assessment The Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Risk Assessment course is assessed by means of an online exam. This relates directly to the delegate’s workplace and tests the application of learning in a practical context.
