Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment (QCF)
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsibility for fire risk assessment in any workplace lies with the accountable
‘responsible person'.
Our Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment course is delivered in one day and provides this ‘responsible person’ with knowledge and
understanding of the fire risk assessment process and the skills required to undertake a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment.
On completion of the course, delegates will:
•
Understand the importance of fire risk assessments
•
Understand the principles of controlling the risks from fire
•
Understand how a fire risk assessment is undertaken
While the Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment is a stand-alone qualification, it allows for lateral progression to other British Safety Council
Level 2 qualifications covering specific risk assessments in COSHH, DSE and Manual Handling, as well as vertical progression to the Level 3
Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
Learning with the British Safety Council will enable delegates to benefit from our extensive experience in health, safety and environmental
management, acquired over the last 60 years. During this time, we’ve educated people from all over the world and have developed expert
tuition methods, using the most modern teaching techniques.
Assessment
The Level 2 Award in Fire Risk Assessment is assessed by means of an online exam. This relates directly to the delegate’s workplace and tests the
application of learning in a practical context.
